Is a map maker the right tool?
A hand-drawn or PDF map still works if your site rarely changes and guests only ever see it printed at reception. The moment pitches move, prices change or guests zoom in on a phone, static files age fast - every change means another round with the original file, if it still exists.
Hiring a designer gets you a beautiful illustrated map, and for a flagship brochure that can be worth it. It is also the most expensive route per change: updates go through the designer, and the result is usually a picture, not something guests can click.
Full campground management suites often include a site map tied to their booking system. If you want an all-in-one reservation platform, that can be the better buy - but it is a much bigger switch than adding a map to the website you already have.

Do I need design experience?
No. If you can use a browser you can draw your site - everything is drag and drop, and the guides walk you through your first map.
Can guests interact with the map?
Yes. The shared map is read-only but clickable - guests can open a pitch to see its number, size, capacity, surface and price.
Does it work for a small campsite?
Yes. Small sites are often done in an afternoon - trace an aerial photo and you are most of the way there.
