Longer walk-throughs for the three things every campsite does with the editor.

Map an existing campsite from an aerial photo

Level: Beginner · Time: 45 min · Steps: 6

The fastest route to a complete first map: trace what is already there.

  1. Measure the real size

Find your site on an orthophoto or cadastral map and measure the longest width and height in meters. Round up a little.

  2. Create the campsite

Click New campsite on the dashboard, enter the name and the size. The canvas is filled with grass.

  3. Upload the photo

Toolbar → Background. Upload the photo and set opacity to around 50 %. Pan with Shift-drag, zoom with the wheel.

  4. Paint terrain and draw roads

Terrain tab: paint sand, water and hard standings over the photo. Draw tab: trace roads as paths, pick the surface, set the width.

  5. Place pitches and facilities

Drag a pitch from Elements, resize it on the photo, then Alt-drag along the row. Add the sanitary blocks, reception and play areas.

  6. Hide the photo and save

Toggle the background off, check the result, Save. Share from the dashboard.

Set up pitch types, prices and numbering

Level: Intermediate · Time: 30 min · Steps: 5

Turn a drawing into an inventory: every pitch typed, priced and numbered.

  1. Decide the scheme

Rows along the driving direction, odd/even per side, letters per zone. Sketch it on paper first.

  2. Select a row

Drag a selection rectangle around one row of pitches, or Shift-click them one by one.

  3. Bulk edit

In the right panel set type, surface, capacity and price for the whole selection at once.

  4. Renumber

Enter the start number and click Renumber. Numbers are assigned row-major by position.

  5. Mark statuses

Set pitches under maintenance so they show up hatched on the shared map.

Publish the map on your website and in e-mails

Level: Beginner · Time: 15 min · Steps: 4

Get the map in front of guests before they arrive.

  1. Enable sharing

Dashboard → Share. Copy the link; it opens a read-only map with a pitch info popover.

  2. Link it

Add the link to your website's Arrival page and to the booking confirmation e-mail. Guests can open it on their phone at the barrier.

  3. Export for print

Toolbar → Export. Choose PNG or JPEG and the size; the legend and scale bar are included for print.

  4. Keep it current

Every Save updates the shared map immediately. Disable sharing if you need to hide it during a redesign.
